Solicited quotes from several major moving Companies to move all of my belongings from Concord Ohio to Micco Florida. Based on the presentation and guarantees, I decided to contract Berger Transfer/Allied Van Lines for all packaging and moving.

Although I didn%26rsquo;t give much thought to it at the time, the Berger representative really pushed the sale of the additional insurance coverage. Laurel Howes, the %26ldquo;Relocation Consultant%26rdquo; stressed how I would only be covered for 60 cents per pound per article in basic coverage during my move. She noted that since I had a significant amount of home entertainment equipment and home computing equipment, I should definitely procure the full value coverage at $379.00 for $35,000 of replacement value coverage.

Great value for the money ABF U Pack Moving

I found ABF/U-Pack to be great value for the money, and provided excellent customer service.

I could not have a trailer delivered to my apartment because of parking rules, and ABF had an option to pack my belongings at their facility. Every person I interacted with was friendly and professional. There were no surprises at all and all costs were clearly laid out.

The way ABF operates is that if there is unused space on the trailer, they use that space for commercial goods. This created a problem at the destination end of my move, as the commercial goods had shifted in transit, and had slightly bent the bars on the barrier separating my goods from the commercial frieght.

The movers arrived at 9:30 am and wrote in their paper 9:15. They took breaks (which are not supposed to be charged back to the customer) and did not deduct the time of each break from the final bill. They promised wardrobe boxes and did not bring any thus all my clothes that was supposed to stay nice and wrinkle free was transported as a pile and dumped on my bed matress after my master bed was put together.

I paid $960 to move a small vehicle from California to Florida, using the residential pickup and terminal delivery method. It was easy to book and pay for the move onine. I had a question about the payment and called the company. The question was answered in a courteous manner. Email communication was excellent, I had misplaced my tracking number and the company emailed it to me within 24 hours.

When we moved from Reno, NV we chose U-Pack for a few different reasons. 1) We wouldn’t have to drive a big truck and tow our truck 2) They offered storage if we couldn’t find a place to rent when we arrived 3) The price we were quoted was just about the same price of a Uhaul or Ryder truck by the time we factored in the price of gas 4) The trailer they dropped off was 28ft long. We would only be charged for the space we used. I thought that was more than fair and we wouldn’t have to worry about running out of room.
