First and foremost, do not go with DAS, one of the most unethical and irresponsible businesses I’ve had to deal with!!!
My bran new Lexus ES 350 (had only 10k miles) was covered with white spots or what seemed to be “bird poops” all over upon delivery. The delivery guy apologized for the car being dirty or that the cleaning guy didn’t do a good job washing it, I accepted it and said “no worries, as long as the car is fine”. A few days later when I went to the car wash myself, those white spots wouldn’t come off, it was then realized that those white spots were damages caused by some chemical spill or dripping, the paints were peeled and the spots were scatted all over the car (difficult to see if you don’t pay attention to it), but once you start examining it, you’ll find tons of them, scattered all around. Aside from the damages occurred to my car, the claiming process was pain in the neck, tedious and extremely time consuming, let alone super slow. I am still waiting for them to get back to me with their final answer. First it%26rsquo;s extremely difficult to get hold of my assigned adjuster (his name is “can’t reveal his name per Epinion’s policy”), when I do finally get hold of him (by calling the central number and have someone track him down), he put me on hold for like 10 minutes and I thought he was getting the information I was asking for, then he came back saying %26ldquo;let me call you back or send you an email later on today%26rdquo;, so I was on hold for 10 minutes for nothing, then of course it took another follow up and another day for me to receive an email with very vague information. I decided to switch to a different claim adjuster and called the central claim number, the lady was just as %26ldquo;unhelpful%26rdquo;, she said Zach is the only person I should talk to and again, she put me straight into his voice mail (just like every other time). I am so fed up with their customer service (or the claim service, they were however very friendly when I was booking and paying them)
After all the excruciating claim filing procedures and follow ups, the final word was %26ldquo;you did not report the damages at the time of delivery, we will have to deny your claims, and we can only pay for the little scratch that you reported%26rdquo;. Imagined how I felt at that moment, so after all the effort and time spent following their procedure and getting all the documents required, did they not even apologize for all the inconveniences they caused me, they came back with the denial of the damages. What a scam!! Now to think back, I bet that they even had the delivery guy purposely apologizing for the %26ldquo;dirty car%26rdquo; so that I wouldn%26rsquo;t look at the spots carefully!!
My car was bought bran new and costed 45k, loaded with options etc. I am extremely angry at how they handled such a luxurious car and how they even had the guts to deny their wrong doing. I wish I had read other people’s reviews first as well and DAS should just go out of their businesses!!
