My 2 kids and I recently flew from Washington State to Virginia, then found out my husband was not coming later. I had to figure out how to get our stuff here, relatively quickly and inexpensively. I checked into several options and ABF was the cheapest, so I went with them. PODS wanted almost $5000, which a newly single mom with 2 kids and no support definitely cannot afford. The people on the phone were so nice and helpful when I called to inquire about reserving a trailer. I also appreciated the e-mail follow-ups, as I was not sure I would get all the information I needed from my husband. The trailer was actually delivered to my (former) house about 5 minutes ahead of time! That was great! He had all weekend to pack and load the trailer. He called Monday, and they were there that afternoon to pick it up. The transit time was just as promised… no delay at all. They actually called ME to arrange for delivery! The Customer Service people at the terminal each time I called were very courteous and friendly. The reason I called so many times was to first arrange for delivery of the trailer, then to check on the driver. I had given them directions that may have been too vague, and the driver was also about half an hour late. I was just checking to make sure everything was coming as scheduled. The driver was late bringing the trailer, but I was understanding of that. Things can always take longer than expected, and they have to eat and use the bathroom too! The driver was as nice as could be and he didn’t rush things. He took the time to explain about the trailer and ramp, and showed me what I needed to know. They called me to arrange pickup of the trailer, which was great. It was a piece of cake and at a price I could afford! I’d recommend them to anyone!
