I moved from Indiana to Florida. I rented a Uhaul 6×12′ enclosed trailer to be pulled behind my truck. When I made reservations at the Uhaul in indianapolis (On East st, s side) I originally reserved a 5×9′ open trailer. When we started packing we realised that the smaller trailer wasnt gonna work. We also wanted to leave 1 day sooner because of hurricanes coming in the gulf. So we went to the Uhaul and told the manager of our concerns. He gave us the option of renting the 6×12 for a huge discount ($150) off the original price! We took our measurements of our stuff and the trailers and rented the 6×12. We both watched as they hooked up the trailer to my truck to make sure it was properly done. We checked the signals and lights to make sure they worked properly. I had all lights and everything checked before we even got the trailer. I also bought the insurance because of the horrible stories on the internet with Uhaul. I didnt want to rent with Uhaul at first because of everything I read from other customers and horror stories with trailers not being hooked up right etc. But we had to get our stuff down there and there is noone else who rents trailers. So we loaded up the trailer properly because we read all the paperwork and I did alot of research on the internet. Everything fit and it wasnt overloaded. Needless to say we arrived with no issues whatsoever, except for some people driving trying to kill us. People are rude and dont care about other drivers or even pay attention cause theyre too busy on the phone. Thats what we had problems with. So I would like to say thank you to Uhaul for being understanding and helping us to have as good moving experience as we could.
