Worked like magic!! ABF U Pack Moving

I was originally going to use PODS or Uhaul for my move but both PODS was SUPER expensive and Uhaul would have been a hassle because I would have had to rent a truck and car trailer and drive. Didn’t think that would be a great idea since gas prices are so high.

Found Upack via a google search and requested an online quote. Everything went very smoothly. I decided that I didn’t want “door to door” delivery (to expensive) so I chose to load the Relocube at the terminal near my home. I rented a Uhaul, loaded my boxes, then drove about 20 miles to the ABF termial and loaded my container. I only needed to move 2 rooms worth of items (no furniture). Everything fit perfectly.

I’ve had a love-hate relationship with U-Haul, and for the most part I’ve always though they were mediocre, but my most recent moving experience affirmed my poorest opinion of them and I will never use them again.

I reserved a truck and tow bed for my car for a cross-state move recently. I made my reservations online and had a confirmation that I would receive the equipment I needed and on time.

The sales people are very friendly and smooth BEFORE you sign the contract; AFTER, shipper beware. Our car was picked up on the scheduled day by All America Auto’s agent. We received a call from the Fair Oaks Police Department in Fairfax County, Virginia late that night. The trucking company’s driver–All America Auto’s “carefully picked agent” based on all their years in the business–was arrested for DWI in our car and unauthorized and illegal possession of our car.

Allied Charged me $17,000.00 and Destroyed my Furniture Allied Van Lines

Allied Van Lines from Austin Texas charged me over $17,000.00 for moving me from Texas to Arizona and did over $100,000.00 in lost and damaging my property.

I was promised an experienced crew as I had expensive furniture and art to move.

They had 11 Allied employees in Austin pack and move my belongings into the semi truck. They sent one employee here to unpack, not the experienced crew that they promised. When the guy arrived here he hired 2 day laborers. 11 to pack the truck and 2 to unload it HHHMMMM. This was a nightmare happening right before my eyes.

I placed a reservation with Budget through the online system weeks in advance. I called the pickup location and confirmed the pickup time and information a few days before the scheduled rental. Less than an hour before I was supposed to pickup the vehicle, I was informed by the local agent that they did not have my truck, there was nothing they could do, and that I needed to call the 1-800 number.

I recently had to move from a 2nd floor apartment into a new house, but the military had left my legs injured, so moving large, heavy objects is nearly impossible for me to do now. A coworker recommended Two Men and a Truck, so I decided to give them a ring. Their office personnel were very thorough and helpful with providing information, as well as gathering it. They are insured and bonded, so they hold themselves to a higher degree of responsibility than most other movers I have worked with (and being military, I moved often).
